Video Games are not just having fun, you know the basics and the maneuver of the game but there is one thing that is missing. You want to replay your game to obtain the ultimate “thing” that you want to get. That is to Master a Video Game. Mastering a specific game is not as easy as it gets. Mastering units and effects on a strategy game, Master an aerial combo on a fighting game, Master a song on a rhythm game. All kinds and types of genres that you need to master, I give you these 7 steps to help you out to become a Video Game Master!
Reconnaissance - This is about watching other people’s strategy. Like on a fighting game, you have to watch first the move of your opponent and execute your offences upon playing the game. A keen observation is effective in this subject, just watch a player; experience or inexperience on how they execute their strategy, how they play the game and once you build your own execution/strategy , then play the game. This will enhance your expertise on the genre that you are currently playing and also to save money.
Teamwork - It’s about companionship and friendship. Sharing ideas will enhance your mastery. Compare your high scores with a friend, giving suggestion on executing your strategies. Etc. This is about the “give-and-take” process to your enhancement. If you have a lack of Teamwork well, the internet is your best companion on walkthroughs and online videos.
Concentration - The game that you handle. Focus on a game that you want to master, playing other game simultaneously will end up to your frustration. It’s like reading a novel, you want to read the whole thing and understand the flow of the story; it’s the same on playing games. From basic controls to expert-strategy and execution.
Tempo - Your game-play momentum. How could I explain this subject… It’s like you feel the “heartbeat” of the machine, you are establishing a strategy on your mind and you want to execute it by playing the game. Now that’s your momentum, executing your strategies will enhance your game-play thus it will end up with your last game-play like a newbie.
Observation - The in-game tactics. Upon playing the game with your opponent, there is one thing you have to do: remember it – it’s possible to repeat your opponent’s execution, this will enhance your precision and coordination.
Experimentation - The word “combo”. Creating and modifying an execution of strategy is the uniqueness of every player. Even you and your opponent use the same character or you are in the mirror match, you have different executions.
Memorization - You read it from cover to cover. Understanding and memorizing every opponent’s move can achieve the ultimate goal; to win or beating the game. Weather you have a photographic memory or not, you can find a way to remember what is necessary.
Once you have and apply these 7 steps, you accomplish as a Video Game Master! Without lessening your excitement and the challenges for an instant.
